About MathsUK
The story behind the site
💜 How it all started
The site grew out of a personal need to help my own children with maths — each of them in a different school year.
After a long search for good-quality maths practice — a search that kept landing on sites that were dated, expensive, or buried in adverts — it was clear there was a gap to close. I wanted something open to every child, in every home, with no payment and no long sign-up screens.
MathsUK was born from that need. Every question is filed against a DfE curriculum statement, so practice matches what is actually taught and examined. The aim is simple: make the core of school maths open to every pupil in England, and let them get interested out of curiosity — not pressure.
🎯 Our principles
- Completely free — no subscription, no upgrades, no hidden charges.
- No adverts — nothing pops up while you practise.
- No sign-up — open the site and start learning straight away.
- No personal data — we do not collect data about any child.
- Built to the curriculum — the National Curriculum for Years 1-9 and the DfE GCSE subject content for Foundation and Higher.
