No paper-style questions are published yet. We only publish a question once it is original, written to the DfE content statements, and independently re-checked part by part — so this bank starts honestly empty rather than padded. Try topic practice on the mock papers hub while it fills.

Frequently asked questions

What is a paper-style question?

A paper-style question is built like a question in the GCSE paper itself: one framing context followed by 3-6 graded parts that build on each other, with marks split like the real paper. That's different from an ordinary practice question, which tests a single step.

Are these real GCSE papers?

Original practice in the format of the GCSE papers — not official exam papers. Past papers and mark schemes belong to the awarding organisations (Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR) and are not hosted here. Every question here is written from scratch for MathsUK, and re-checked part by part before it goes live.

Are full solutions provided?

Yes. Every part has a final answer and a full step-by-step solution, not just the result. The solution is hidden by default so you can try it yourself first.

How many paper-style questions are there, and for which papers?

None yet. This is a new bank and we would rather show it empty than publish anything that hasn't been written and checked properly — check back as it fills.

Is it free to use?

Yes — every paper-style question and its solution is free, with no sign-up and no limit.
