- 1.A graph shows the total monthly cost of a mobile phone tariff against the number of minutes of calls. The line starts at £12 and stays level until 200 minutes, then rises by 5p for each further minute of calls. Use the graph to work out the total cost of a month in which 250 minutes of calls are made.
- 2.Yuki is y years old. Her brother is 4 years younger than Yuki. Write down an expression, in terms of y, for the brother's age in 5 years' time.
- 3.A straight line passes through the points (0, 4) and (1, 9). Write down the gradient of the line.
- 4.Grace says that 2(x + 1) and 2x + 2 always have the same value. Work out the value of both expressions when x = 3.

- 13.The first four terms of a sequence are 2, 6, 10, 14. Priya says the nth term is 4n. Work out the correct expression for the nth term.
- 14.The diagram shows the graph of a function. Which equation could it represent?
- 15.The first five cube numbers are 1, 8, 27, 64, 125. Write down the next cube number in the sequence.
