- 1.Solve the inequality 3x + 6 ≤ 0.
- 2.A ramp rises 3 m over a horizontal distance of 12 m. Work out the gradient of the ramp.
- 3.The nth term of a sequence is n² + 3. Work out the first term of the sequence that is greater than 50.

- 9.A regular hexagon has sides of length (x + 2) cm. Write down an expression, in terms of x, for the perimeter of the hexagon.
- 10.Oliver has m stickers and gives 5 of them away. The number he has left is L = m − 5. Work out L when m = 8.
- 11.A number machine multiplies its input by 3 and then adds 7. The output is 1. Work out the input.
- 12.Work out the value of n² − n when n = −3
- 13.A box holds n pencils. A shop has 6 full boxes and 4 loose pencils. All of these pencils are shared equally between 2 classes. Write down the expression for the number of pencils each class receives.
- 14.Solve the inequality 6x ≥ 18.
- 15.n = 3. Work out the value of (2n)².
