- 1.Every point on a circle is exactly the same distance from one particular point. Write down the name of that point.
- 2.A circular table mat has diameter 20 cm. Yasmin has a 70 cm length of ribbon and sews it around the edge of the mat with no overlap. Using π = 3.14, work out how much ribbon is left over after going around the mat once.
- 3.A tangent to a circle touches the circle at exactly one point, P. Work out the size of the angle between the tangent and the radius drawn to P.
- 4.A circle has circumference 31.4 cm. Using π = 3.14, work out the radius of the circle.
- 5.A circle has centre O. PQ, RS and TU are three chords of the circle, and only one of them passes through O. Write down what this tells you about that chord.
- 6.Two points on a circle divide its circumference into two arcs of different lengths. Write down the name given to the shorter of the two arcs.
- 7.A trundle wheel has a diameter of 0.5 m. It is rolled along the ground and makes 20 complete turns. Using π = 3.14, work out the total distance rolled, in metres.

- 9.Two circles are drawn with the same centre but different radii. Write down the term used to describe this pair of circles.
- 10.A chord is drawn across a circle, dividing the circle into two regions. Write down the name of one of these two regions.
- 11.The curved part of a circle's circumference, between two points on the circle, has its own name. Write down this name.
- 12.A diameter divides a circle into two equal halves. Write down the special name given to each of these two halves.
- 13.A circle has diameter 10 cm. Using π = 3.14, work out the circumference of the circle.
