- 1.A circle has two straight radii drawn from the centre to the edge, together with the arc between them. Write down the name of the region enclosed by these two radii and the arc.
- 2.A rectangle has vertices at (2, 1), (9, 1), (9, 5) and (2, 5). Work out the area of the rectangle.
- 3.A student draws a net using 5 identical squares arranged in a row of four with one extra square attached to the side of one of them. Can this net be folded to make a closed cube?

- 5.A scale model of a bridge is built so that 2 cm on the model represents 5 m of the real bridge. The real bridge is 45 m long. Work out the length of the model bridge, in centimetres.
- 6.Vertex X of a triangle is at (−3, 5). After a translation, the image of X is at (2, −1). Write down the column vector of this translation.
- 7.In this question, a curved surface counts as a face. How many faces does a cone have?
- 8.A straight transversal crosses a pair of parallel lines. At one crossing point, the angle between the transversal and a parallel line is 118°. Work out the size of the co-interior (allied) angle at the other crossing point.
- 9.A rectangular notice board measures 150 cm by 80 cm. Work out its area in m².
- 10.In triangle ABC and triangle DEF, AB = DE, angle ABC = angle DEF and BC = EF. Write down the congruence condition that proves the two triangles are congruent.
- 11.A tank holds 3.2 m³ of water. Work out this volume in litres.
- 12.How many vertices does a square-based pyramid have?
- 13.Two straight lines AB and CD cross at point O. Angle AOC = 74°. Work out angle AOD.
- 14.Two angles lie on a straight line. One angle is 118°. Which reason correctly explains why the other angle is 62°?
- 15.In triangle ABC the base BC is 10 cm long and the sloping side AB is 13 cm long. The perpendicular height from A down to BC is 12 cm. Work out the area of triangle ABC.
