- 1.A quadrilateral has both pairs of opposite sides parallel and equal in length, but none of its angles are right angles. Which statement about this quadrilateral is correct?
- 2.p is the column vector with top number 5 and bottom number 2. q is the column vector with top number 1 and bottom number 6. Work out p + q, giving your answer as a column vector in the form (top, bottom).
- 3.A quadrilateral has exactly two lines of symmetry, its two pairs of opposite angles are equal, and its diagonals are not equal in length. Write down the name of this quadrilateral.
- 4.In triangle ABC and triangle DEF, AB = DE, angle ABC = angle DEF and BC = EF. Write down the congruence condition that proves the two triangles are congruent.
- 5.P is the point (3, 4) and Q is the point (6, 0). Work out the distance of each point from the origin, and write down which point is closer to the origin.
- 6.In triangle ABC, angle ABC = 90° and angle BAC = 30°. The hypotenuse AC = 12 cm. Work out the exact length of AB.
- 7.A polygon has one more side than a heptagon. What is the polygon called?
- 8.Work out the exact value of sin 30° + cos 60°.
- 9.A straight line crosses two parallel lines. One of the angles formed is (2x + 10)°, and the angle alternate to it is 74°. Work out the value of x.
- 10.Work out the exact value of (sin 30°)² + (cos 30°)².
- 11.Write down the name given to a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides.
- 12.Write down the column vector, from the options given, that would move a point to the right and downwards.
- 13.Point B is at (1, 6). It is reflected in the x-axis. Work out the coordinates of the image of point B.
- 14.Triangle PQR has angle P = 90°. The side PQ = 9 cm and the hypotenuse QR = 15 cm. Work out the length of PR.
- 15.A robot on a grid moves by the vector , then by the vector , then by the vector . Write down the single column vector that has the same overall effect as these three moves.
