- 1.The midpoint of the line segment AB is (3, 5). A is the point (1, 3). Work out the coordinates of B.
- 2.Point B is at (1, 6). It is reflected in the x-axis. Work out the coordinates of the image of point B.
- 3.A rectangular bookmark measures 2 cm by 25 cm. Work out the area of the bookmark.
- 4.A cylindrical candle and a cone-shaped candle have the same base radius and the same height. State the cone's volume as a fraction of the cylinder's volume.
- 5.A circular table mat has diameter 20 cm. Yasmin has a 70 cm length of ribbon and sews it around the edge of the mat with no overlap. Using π = 3.14, work out how much ribbon is left over after going around the mat once.
- 6.A straight line crosses a pair of parallel lines. At one of the crossing points, one of the four angles measures 55°. Work out the size of the angle next to it on a straight line at that crossing point.
- 7.A water tank holds 2.5 m³. Work out this volume in cm³.
- 8.A sector of a circle has an angle of 150°. Work out what fraction of the circle's area the sector is.

- 10.A line segment joins two points on the circumference of a circle, without necessarily passing through the centre. Write down the general term for this line segment.

- 12.A locus is described as the set of points exactly 4 cm from a fixed point O. What shape is this locus?
- 13.A parallelogram has a base of 4 cm and a perpendicular height of 17 cm. Work out the area of the parallelogram.
- 14.A triangular prism has two triangular faces and three rectangular faces. How many vertices does a triangular prism have?
- 15.The column vector r has top number 2 and bottom number 6. Which of these column vectors is parallel to r?
