- 1.A water tank is a cube with edges of length 2 m. Work out how many cubic centimetres the tank holds when it is full.
- 2.A circle has two straight radii drawn from the centre to the edge, together with the arc between them. Write down the name of the region enclosed by these two radii and the arc.
- 3.A parallelogram has a base of 4 cm and a perpendicular height of 17 cm. Work out the area of the parallelogram.
- 4.Two angles are supplementary. One of them is twice the size of the other. Work out the size of the smaller angle.
- 5.A cake recipe takes 135 minutes from start to finish. Write this time as hours and minutes.
- 6.A circular plate has a diameter of 20 cm. Work out the area of the plate. Use π = 3.14.

- 8.In triangle ABC the base BC is 10 cm long and the sloping side AB is 13 cm long. The perpendicular height from A down to BC is 12 cm. Work out the area of triangle ABC.

- 10.A cylinder has a volume of 942 cm³ and a height of 12 cm. Using π = 3.14, work out the radius of the cylinder.
- 11.The perimeter of a square is 20 cm. Work out the area of the square.
- 12.A rectangle has vertices A(1, 1), B(4, 1), C(4, 5) and D(1, 5). Work out the perimeter of the rectangle.
- 13.A polygon has 9 sides. What is the name of this polygon?
- 14.Point A is at (2, 3). It is translated by the vector (4, −1) to give point A′. Work out the coordinates of A′.
- 15.The vector describes a translation. A student writes it as by mistake. Write down what error the student has made.
