- 1.Work out 0.6 × 0.04.

- 4.A jug holds 3 1/3 litres of juice. Each glass holds 2/3 of a litre. Work out how many glasses can be filled from the jug.
- 5.A plank of wood is 5 1/4 m long. Pieces of length 3/4 m are cut from it. Work out how many complete pieces of 3/4 m can be cut from the plank.
- 6.Jack buys 3 books, each costing £4.25, and pays with a £20 note. Work out how much change he receives.
- 7.At midday the temperature in the Lake District was 3 °C. By midnight it had fallen to −6 °C. Work out the fall in temperature.
- 8.Grace drinks 1/3 of a bottle of water in the morning and another 1/3 of the same bottle in the afternoon. Work out what fraction of the bottle she has drunk altogether.
- 9.Work out 3 1/5 + 1 2/3. Give your answer as a mixed number in its simplest form.
- 10.Write the mixed number 2 1/4 as an improper fraction.
- 11.Work out −7 − (−3).
- 12.Priya adds 3.6 and 0.45 on paper and writes down 3.65 as her answer. Work out the correct value of 3.6 + 0.45.
- 13.Work out 4368 ÷ 12.
- 14.A recipe for one cake needs 2/3 of a cup of sugar. Priya has 3 1/2 cups of sugar. Work out how many complete cakes she can make.
- 15.Work out 3/7 × 14/9. Give your answer as a fraction in its simplest form.
