- 1.3 kg of apples cost £6. Work out the cost of 5 kg of the same apples.

- 13.A class has 28 pupils. 16 of the pupils are girls and the rest are boys. Write the ratio of girls to boys in its simplest form.
- 14.A straight line passes through the points (1, 20) and (5, 8). Work out the gradient of the line.
- 15.A beaker holds 500 g of a salt solution of concentration 12%. Pure water is added until the concentration falls to 8%. Work out the mass of water added.
