- 1.A straight line has gradient −2 and passes through the point (3, 1). Work out the equation of the line.

- 14.A rectangular garden has length (x + 7) m and width (x − 7) m. Work out an expression for the area of the garden, giving your answer in its simplest form.
- 15.The nth term of a sequence is n² + 4n. Work out the term number, n, for which the term equals 45.
