- 7.The graph of y = f(x) crosses the x-axis at x = −3 and x = 7, and crosses the y-axis at (0, 21). A second graph crosses the x-axis at x = −7 and x = 3, and crosses the y-axis at the same point, (0, 21). The second graph is y = g(x). Which of these could be the equation of g(x)?
- 8.A proof that (n + 3)² − (n − 3)² is always a multiple of a certain number begins: Line 1: (n + 3)² − (n − 3)² = (n² + 6n + 9) − (n² − 6n + 9). Which expression correctly completes Line 2?
- 9.Write down the gradient of the line with equation y = −x + 3.y = −x + 3
- 10.The graph of y = x² − 5x + 6 crosses the x-axis at two points. By factorising, work out the x-coordinates of these two points.y = x² − 5x + 6
- 11.A circle has centre (0, 0) and equation x² + y² = 8. Work out the radius of the circle, giving your answer as a surd in its simplest form.
