- 1.Write 0.06 as a fraction in its simplest form.

- 3.A charity shop buys a coat for £24 and sells it for a profit that is 3/8 of the buying price. Work out the selling price.
- 4.The recurring decimal 0.454545... can be written as 0.45 recurring, where both digits repeat forever. Let x = 0.45 recurring. Work out x as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 5.Meera says that 0.7 ÷ 0.1 = 0.07. Work out the correct value of 0.7 ÷ 0.1.
- 6.A recipe uses 0.625 kg of flour. Write this mass as a fraction of a kilogram, in its simplest form.

- 8.Write 0.875 as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 9.A set of kitchen scales displays the mass of a bag of sugar as 0.63 recurring kilograms, meaning 0.636363... kg with the block '63' repeating forever. Convert this mass to a fraction of a kilogram, then work out the mass in grams, giving your answer to the nearest gram.
- 10.In standard form, 2,000 is written as 2 × 10ⁿ. Write down the value of n.
- 11.£60 is shared between Amir, Bo and Chen in the ratio 1:2:3. Work out the fraction of the £60 that Amir and Bo receive together.
- 12.A number, n, is a multiple of both 6 and 9. Work out the smallest possible value of n that is greater than 20.
- 13.Work out the reciprocal of (2 + 3)
- 14.A triangle has a base of 8 cm and a perpendicular height of 5 cm, each correct to the nearest centimetre. Work out the upper bound of the area.
- 15.Simplify √8 + √18, giving your answer in the form k√2.
