- 4.The delivery times, in minutes, of 15 parcels are given in order: 5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 34. Work out the interquartile range of these times.
- 5.A composite (stacked) bar for a charity bake sale in Durham shows the number of cakes sold, split into three types. - 8.A box plot for the amount of pocket money, in pounds, saved by 30 students in a month is based on a lower quartile of £18 and an upper quartile of £42. A value above upper quartile + 1.5 × interquartile range is considered an outlier. Amara saved £80 in the month. Determine whether Amara's saving is an outlier.
- 9.The numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 have a mean of 7 and a median of 7. The value 100 is now added to the list. Which measure is changed more by adding 100, and why?
- 10.Write down the statement that correctly describes the difference between correlation and causation.
- 11.The times, t minutes, taken by 120 runners to finish a fun run are summarised by these cumulative frequencies: t < 20, 8 runners; t < 30, 26 runners; t < 40, 74 runners; t < 50, 110 runners; t < 60, 120 runners. Work out the number of runners who took 40 minutes or longer to finish.

Using the COMBINED results from both shifts, work out an estimate for the number of scratched cases made last week.
- 14.Box plots summarise house prices, in thousands of pounds, in two towns. Town A: minimum 120, lower quartile 180, median 220, upper quartile 310, maximum 520. Town B: minimum 95, lower quartile 175, median 235, upper quartile 260, maximum 340. A buyer wants the town where house prices are typically higher but more consistent. Which statement is correct?
