What is a summer maths workbook?
A summer workbook is a set of printed worksheets that helps a child hold on to what they learnt during the year and get ready for the next one. On MathsUK you build the booklet yourself: choose the level, the content areas and the number of questions, and you get a personalised workbook.
Is the workbook free?
Yes. Every workbook is completely free, with no sign-up and no payment. You can print it, save it as a PDF and share it.
How do I download the workbook as a PDF?
Once the workbook is built, press 'Print / PDF'. On a phone the device's print dialog opens with a 'Save as PDF' option; on a computer choose 'Save as PDF' in the print dialog.
Which level should I pick?
Pick the level the child has just finished, so the booklet consolidates that year's content before the next one starts. GCSE Foundation and Higher are available now; Year 1-9 booklets follow as the question bank grows.
How many questions should I include?
Between 5 and 15 questions per content area works well, depending on age and how much time you have. You can pick up to 6 content areas in one workbook.
