Maths Drop — a number-sorting game

Numbers fall from above, and you decide which basket they belong in.

What you practise here

Sorting numbers by a rule — odd/even, greater/less than a value, a multiple of a given number, the result of a stated calculation.

How to play

Move the basket under the falling number and catch it if it satisfies the rule shown at the top of the screen. Catching a number by mistake costs a life, and missing a correct number costs points. The pace builds gradually.

Who it's for, and why it works

Year 1 to GCSE.

Sorting by a rule is what tests whether a concept like 'a multiple of 3' is genuinely understood rather than just learnt as a method to work through — because here there's no time to run the calculation on every number.
