Maths Snake — the classic snake game with sums

Classic snake, except instead of eating food you eat the correct answer to the question on screen.

What you practise here

Fast recall of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The question sits at the top of the board and the answers are scattered across the grid — picking the right one means calculating AND planning a route.

How to play

Steer the snake with the arrow keys or a swipe, and guide it onto the number that solves the question. A correct answer grows the snake and raises the score; a wrong answer or hitting the wall ends the round. Three speed settings: easy, medium and hard.

Who it's for, and why it works

Year 1 to GCSE, with a level and difficulty picker before every round.

Speed is what turns this into recall practice rather than calculation practice: with only a second to decide, the answer has to be known, not worked out fresh every time.
