- 1.A graph has equation y = 3x + 2. Which word or phrase best describes its shape?y = 3x + 2
- 2.A sequence begins at 50, and each term after that is found by subtracting 8 from the term before it. Priya says the 8th term of the sequence is negative. Is Priya correct?
- 3.The graph of y = x² − 5x + 6 crosses the x-axis at two points. By factorising, work out the x-coordinates of these two points.y = x² − 5x + 6
- 4.A photo printing service has two adverts for its price. Advert A: cost in pounds = 3(2n + 4) for n photos. Advert B: cost in pounds = 6n + 12. A customer says the two adverts always charge the same amount. Is the customer correct?

- 11.Solve the inequality 5 − x ≤ 2.
- 12.A straight line has equation y = 4x + 3. A second line is parallel to the first line and passes through the point (0, −5). Work out the equation of the second line.y = 4x + 3
- 13.Solve x² − 100 = 0.
- 14.A curve has equation y = x³ − 4x. Work out the coordinates of the point where the curve crosses the y-axis.y = x
