- 1.A footpath sign shows a distance of 0.45 km to the next village. Work out this distance in metres.
- 2.A bottle holds 2 litres of water. A glass holds 250 ml. Work out how many of these glasses can be filled from one full bottle.
- 3.Write down the exact value of tan 0°.

- 11.A car's windscreen wiper blade is 40 cm long and sweeps through an angle of 110° as it wipes the glass. Using π = 3.14, work out the area of glass it wipes, to the nearest cm².
- 12.A sector of a circle has radius 9 cm and angle 120°. Using π = 3.14, work out the arc length of the sector, to 1 decimal place.
- 13.A map has a scale of 1 cm : 5 km. A road is drawn 3 cm long on the map. What is the real length of the road?
- 14.Two sides of a triangle are 20 cm and 8 cm long. Write down which one of these lengths is possible for the third side.
- 15.A solid has 6 faces and 8 vertices. Using the formula F + V − E = 2, work out how many edges it has.
