- 1.Rectangle ABCD has vertices A(−1, 2), B(4, 2), C(4, 5) and D(−1, 5). The rectangle is translated so that C moves to (0, −1). Write down the coordinates of the image of A.
- 2.The perimeter of a square is 20 cm. Work out the area of the square.
- 3.A chord divides a circle into two segments of different sizes. Write down the name given to the smaller of the two segments.
- 4.p is the column vector with top number 2 and bottom number 3. q is the column vector with top number −1 and bottom number 4. Work out 2p + q, giving your answer as a column vector in the form (top, bottom).
- 5.Two circles are drawn with the same centre but different radii. Write down the term used to describe this pair of circles.
- 6.A trapezium has parallel sides of 5.6 cm and 8.4 cm, and a perpendicular height of 4 cm. Work out the area of the trapezium.

- 8.A train leaves Leeds at 08:47 and arrives in London at 11:05. Work out how long the journey takes.
- 9.A circular pizza base has a radius of 12 cm. Work out the area of the pizza base. Use π = 3.14.
- 10.Write down the name given to a quadrilateral that has exactly one pair of parallel sides.
- 11.A cheese counter sells cheddar at £8.40 per kilogram. Work out the cost of a 350 g piece of cheddar.
- 12.A vertical line passes through the point (5, 2). Write down the equation of this line.
- 13.Triangle T has a vertex at (8, 4). It is enlarged by a scale factor of 1/2, centre (2, 4). Work out the coordinates of the image of this vertex.
- 14.Point D is at (3, 7). It is reflected in the line y = x. Work out the coordinates of the image of point D.y = x
- 15.A tank holds 3.2 m³ of water. Work out this volume in litres.
