- 1.A jug holds 1.8 litres of juice. Priya pours out 3/4 of a litre to fill a glass. Work out how much juice is left in the jug, in millilitres.

- 8.A market trader buys 8 melons at £1.35 each. He sells all of them for a total of £15.60. Work out his profit.
- 9.Work out the total cost of 3 pens at 45p each and one notebook at £2.35. Give your answer in pounds.
- 10.A jug holds 1.25 litres of water. Ella pours in another 400 ml. Work out the total volume, in litres.
- 11.A plane flies 2340 km at an average speed of 780 km/h. It departs at 08:20. Work out the arrival time, using the 24-hour clock.
- 12.Maya buys 4 plants at £3.20 each and a bag of compost for £6.75. She pays with a £20 note. Work out her change.
- 13.A coach journey has a 55 minute first leg, a 20 minute break and a 40 minute second leg. The coach leaves at 13:25. Work out the arrival time, using the 24-hour clock.
- 14.A metal cube has a mass of 540 g and a volume of 60 cm³. Work out its density in g/cm³.
- 15.Petrol costs £1.48 per litre. Sam buys 35 litres and pays with three £20 notes. Work out his change.
