- 1.A car travels 180 km using 6 litres of fuel. Work out the car's fuel consumption in kilometres per litre, then work out how many kilometres it can travel on a full tank of 12 litres at this rate.
- 2.£60 is shared between Amir, Bo and Chen in the ratio 1:2:3. Work out the fraction of the £60 that Amir and Bo receive together.

- 8.A tin of paint has a mass of 5.672 kg. Round this mass to 1 decimal place.
- 9.A charity trek covers 830 miles over roughly 19 days. By rounding each number to 1 significant figure, work out an estimate for the number of miles walked per day.
- 10.Work out 3 1/5 + 1 2/3. Give your answer as a mixed number in its simplest form.
- 11.Freya types 4² + 3² into her calculator and writes down 49. Work out the correct value of 4² + 3².
