- 1.Grace's mean mark in her maths tests rises from 70 to 84. Work out the percentage increase in her mean mark.
- 2.After a 20% discount, a jacket costs £48. Work out the original price of the jacket.
- 3.Order these three values from smallest to largest: 3/8, 0.43, 41%.
- 4.There are 400 students at a school. 25% of them have a brother, 40% have a sister and 15% have both a brother and a sister. Work out how many of the students have neither a brother nor a sister.
- 5.Write 0.25 as a percentage.
- 6.The same jumper is sold at two shops. Shop A charges £40 and Shop B charges £50. Write down the price at Shop A as a percentage of the price at Shop B.
- 7.A car is bought for £17,500. Its value decreases by 12% in the first year, and by a further 10% of its reduced value in the second year. Work out the value of the car at the end of the second year, giving your answer to the nearest pound.
- 8.The price of a games console is reduced by 10%. In a later sale the reduced price is reduced by 10% again. Work out the overall percentage decrease.

- 10.Jamal invests £600 in a savings account paying 3% simple interest per year. Work out the total amount in the account after 4 years.

- 12.A box holds 80 chocolates. 75% of them are milk chocolates. Work out how many milk chocolates are in the box.
- 13.A charity fun run raises money through entry fees and donations. Entry fees raise £1,260, which is 60% of the total amount raised. Work out how much money was raised through donations.
- 14.The number of members of a running club increases from 45 to 54. Work out the percentage increase.
- 15.A company's turnover this year is £180,000. Last year's turnover was £120,000. Write down this year's turnover as a percentage of last year's turnover.
