- 1.A grain of fine sand has a mass of 0.001 grams. Write this mass in standard form.
- 2.A plank of wood is 5 1/4 m long. Pieces of length 3/4 m are cut from it. Work out how many complete pieces of 3/4 m can be cut from the plank.
- 3.Meera says that 0.7 ÷ 0.1 = 0.07. Work out the correct value of 0.7 ÷ 0.1.
- 4.A recipe for one cake needs 2/3 of a cup of sugar. Priya has 3 1/2 cups of sugar. Work out how many complete cakes she can make.

- 13.A number is divided by 5, then 6 is subtracted, giving the result −1. Work out the number.
- 14.Work out √225 ÷ 3.
- 15.A metal cube has a mass of 540 g and a volume of 60 cm³. Work out its density in g/cm³.
