- 1.Two-digit numbers are formed using the digits 2, 5, 7 and 8, and each digit may be used only once in a number. Work out how many of these two-digit numbers are even.
- 2.Five different books are placed in a row on a shelf. Work out how many different orders the five books can be placed in.
- 3.A jug holds 3 1/3 litres of juice. Each glass holds 2/3 of a litre. Work out how many glasses can be filled from the jug.

- 13.On a number line, point A is at −1. Point B is 4 units from point A. Write down the two possible positions of point B.
- 14.Four locations each record a temperature one winter morning. Which of these temperatures is the coldest?
- 15.A window display has red baubles, gold baubles and green baubles in the ratio 4 : 5 : 6. What fraction of the baubles are not green?
