- 1.The length of a pencil is 8.4 cm, correct to 1 decimal place. Using L for the length of the pencil in centimetres, write down the error interval for L.
- 2.A pizza is cut into 12 equal slices. Ben eats 5 slices and Mia eats 3 slices. What fraction of the pizza is left, giving your answer in its simplest form?
- 3.A digital timer truncates every time to 1 decimal place. It shows a swimmer's time for one length as 12.3 seconds. Using t for the swimmer's actual time in seconds, write down the error interval for t.

- 11.A cycle route is 350 m long. A footpath runs alongside it for 3/7 of that length. Work out the length of the footpath.

- 13.A tin of soup has a mass of 450 g. A bag of potatoes has a mass of 2.6 kg. Work out the total mass, in kilograms.
- 14.Work out the highest common factor of 15 and 25.
- 15.Work out 3 1/5 + 1 2/3. Give your answer as a mixed number in its simplest form.
