- 1.Which of these decimals lies between 1/4 and 2/5?
- 2.A recipe needs 0.485 kg of flour per cake. A bakery estimates its flour order by rounding this amount to 1 significant figure, then multiplying by the 60 cakes it plans to bake. Work out the bakery's estimate for the total flour needed, in kg.
- 3.A cycle route is 350 m long. A footpath runs alongside it for 3/7 of that length. Work out the length of the footpath.
- 4.Write the mixed number 2 1/4 as an improper fraction.

- 13.Work out an estimate for 79.3 − 24.6, by rounding each number to the nearest whole number.
- 14.Work out 3.7 × 24.
- 15.Round 0.006852 to 2 significant figures.
