- 1.A country has an area of 25,000,000 hectares. Write this area in standard form.

Allotment B grows vegetables and flowers in the ratio 1 : 4, and has 20 plots in total. Work out the fraction of all the plots, in both allotments combined, that grow vegetables.
- 12.A box stands on a table. The box exerts a force of 240 N on the table, and the base of the box has an area of 0.8 m². Work out the pressure the box exerts on the table, in N/m².

- 14.Work out (2 × 10³) × (3 × 10⁴). Give your answer in standard form.
- 15.A metal cube has a mass of 540 g and a volume of 60 cm³. Work out its density in g/cm³.
