- 1.Which of these is a formula, rather than an expression, an equation, or an identity?
- 2.A garden path runs along the line 4x + y = 12. A drainage pipe must be laid perpendicular to the path, passing through the point (3, 1) where a sprinkler sits. Work out the equation of the pipe's line, giving your answer in the form y = mx + c.
- 3.The first five terms of a sequence are 7, 9, 13, 19, 27. By finding the second difference, work out the coefficient of n² in the nth term.

- 15.A charity's fundraising total, T pounds, over d days follows T = (d − 3)(30 − d) for 3 ≤ d ≤ 30, where T = 0 marks the start and end of the campaign. Work out how many days the campaign runs for, from start to end.
