- 1.Work out ∛(−27) + ∛8
- 2.The attendance at a football match is 23,000, correct to the nearest thousand. Which of these attendances is not possible for the match?

- 12.After a price increase of 10%, a laptop costs £330. Work out the original price.
- 13.A number is multiplied by 4, then 8 is added, giving the result 40. Work out the number.
- 14.By listing systematically, work out how many two-digit multiples of 5 can be made using the digits 0, 3 and 5, if each digit can be used at most once and the number cannot start with 0.
